Job summary

TSG - The Sheridan Group in Minnesota is hiring Manufacturing Operating Technicians for the bindery. We train you to run high-speed bindery equipment and be part of a hands-on production team.

You will learn to set up, operate, and maintain the machine, troubleshoot issues, and accurately record production data from work instructions. A reliable, team-focused attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• No bindery experience? We’ll train you.
• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.).
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Able to read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.).
• Prides in doing quality work.
• Reliable and a good team player.

We’re hiring 3team membersready to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in print manufacturing.

What You’ll Do:

• Learn to set up, run, and maintain all sections of the Machine.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to machine and auxiliary equipment.
• Learn to interpret the information on work instructions and accurately record production data.
• Exercise initiative, ask questions and look for ways of improving productivity.

What We’re Looking For:

We’re looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry(manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.)
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team
• High school diploma/GED.

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift.
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor.
• Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
