Job summary

TSG - The Sheridan Group in Minnesota is hiring Manufacturing Operating Technicians for bindery work. No prior bindery experience is required—we will train you to operate high-speed bindery equipment and contribute to quality book and print production.

We’re looking for team players who are mechanically inclined, able to read job instructions, and dependable in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Training and a long-term career path in print manufacturing are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in any industry (manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.).
• Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools.
• Able to read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.).
• Pride in doing quality work and reliability in attendance.

Responsibilities

• Learn to set up, run, and maintain all sections of the Machine.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to machine and auxiliary equipment.

What You’ll Do:

• Learn to set up, run, and maintain all sections of the Machine.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to machine and auxiliary equipment.
• Learn to interpret the information on work instructions and accurately record production data.
• Exercise initiative, ask questions and look for ways of improving productivity.

What We’re Looking For:

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.
We’re looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry(manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.)
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team
• High school diploma/GED.

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift.
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor.
• Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
