Job summary

The Sheridan Group in Minnesota is hiring Manufacturing Operating Technician - Bindery. We will train you to operate high-speed bindery equipment and produce books, catalogs, and printed materials. This is a hands-on role on a fast-paced, team-based production floor.

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you. You’ll learn setup, run, and maintain the machine, interpret work instructions, and accurately record production data while seeking ways to improve productivity and quality.

Qualifications

• Experience operating machinery in any industry is welcomed.
• Must be mechanically inclined and able to use basic tools.
• Ability to read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.).
• Reliable, works well with a team and takes pride in quality work.

What You’ll Do:

• Learn to set up, run, and maintain all sections of the Machine.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to machine and auxiliary equipment.
• Learn to interpret the information on work instructions and accurately record production data.
• Exercise initiative, ask questions and look for ways of improving productivity.

What We’re Looking For:

No bindery experience? No problem—we’ll train you.
We’re looking for people who:

• Have experience operating machineryin any industry(manufacturing, warehouse, trades, etc.)
• Are mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic tools
• Can read basic job instructions and measurements (decimals, sizes, etc.)
• Take pride in doing quality work
• Show up reliably and work well with a team
• High school diploma/GED.

It’s a plus if you have:

• Print, bindery, or finishing experience
• Experience setting up or adjusting production equipment

Physical & Work Environment

• On your feet for most of the shift.
• Fast-paced, team-oriented production floor.
• Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
