Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer - BIW Feasibility — Auburn Hills, Michigan. The role will be responsible for performing BIW manufacturing activities for new model and mid-cycle action programs, including providing input to manufacturing simulation engineers, communicating issues to Product Engineering, proposing alternative solutions and driving all issues to closure.
The responsibilities include developing Design to Manufacturing proposals to optimize Capex, supporting future Plant Loading studies, developing and executing Vertical Integration for Make/Buy alignment, developing detailed Process Maps with Pre-Scroll, ensuring Feasibility studies are performed in the Plant Environment, executing Change Management meetings to ensure product process and tooling alignment, and monitoring BIW KPIs. The role will ensure that the Design to Manufacturing and Feasibility requirements are implemented in the Product Design. The Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer - BIW Feasibility will develop high visibility weekly updates to Stellantis management and may travel to assembly plants to support early phases of vehicle launches relative to manufacturing feasibility issues.
