Stellantis NV in Auburn, AL seeks a Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer – General Assembly Feasibility to lead GA manufacturing activities for new models and mid-cycle programs. You will coordinate with Product Engineering, develop DFM proposals to optimize Capex, and drive issues to closure while aligning processes and tooling across the plant.
You will present weekly updates to management and may travel to plants to support early manufacturing feasibility issues for launches.
The Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer –General Assembly Feasibility will be responsible for performing GA manufacturing activities for new model and mid cycle action programs, including providing input to manufacturing simulation engineers, communicating issues to Product Engineering, proposing alternative solutions and driving all issues to closure.
The responsibility includes developing Design to Manufacturing proposals to optimize capital expenditures (Capex), support future Plant Loading studies, develop and execute Vertical Integration for Make/Buy alignment, develop detailed Process Maps with Pre-Scroll, ensure Feasibility studies are performed in the Plant Environment, execute Change Management meetings to ensure product process and tooling are aligned, monitor all General Assembly KPI'S. The role will be responsible to ensure that the Design to Manufacturing and Feasibility requirements are implemented in the Product Design.
The Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer –General Assembly Feasibility will develop high visibility weekly updates to Stellantis management. Duties may also include some travel to assembly plants to support early phases of vehicle launches relative to manufacturing feasibility issues.
