Socket.dev is seeking a Manufacturing Mechanical Engineer–General Assembly Feasibility in Michigan. You will perform GA manufacturing activities for new model and midcycle programs, feeding input to manufacturing simulations and coordinating with Product Engineering to resolve issues.
Responsibilities include designing Design to Manufacturing proposals to optimize Capex, supporting Plant Loading studies, and driving feasibility through plant environments.
TheManufacturing Mechanical Engineer–GeneralAssembly Feasibility willbe responsible forperformingGA manufacturing activities for new modeland midcycle actionprograms, including providinginputto manufacturing simulation engineers, communicating issues to Product Engineering, proposing alternativesolutionsand driving all issues to closure.
The responsibility includes developing Design to Manufacturing proposals to optimizecapital expenditures (Capex), support future Plant Loading studies, develop andexecuteVertical Integration for Make/Buy alignment, develop detailed Process Maps with Pre-Scroll, ensure Feasibility studies are performed in the Plant Environment,executeChange Management meetings to ensure product process and tooling are aligned,monitor allGeneral Assembly KPI'S.The role will be responsibleto ensurethatthe Design to Manufacturing and Feasibility requirements are implemented in the Product Design.
TheManufacturing Mechanical Engineer–GeneralAssembly Feasibilitywill develop high visibility weekly updates to Stellantis management. Duties may also include some travel to assembly plants to support early phases of vehicle launchesrelativeto manufacturing feasibility issues.
