Job Description

Celina Aluminum Precision Technology is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our team!

Please note, this is not a design engineering position.

CAPT specializes in melting, casting, and machining aluminum, producing high-quality products used in Honda engines and the electric vehicle market.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods by observing and working on the production floor. Make adjustments to equipment and assist in maintaining it.
  • Review and analyze daily reports to identify potential countermeasures and root causes for continuous improvement.
  • Plan workforce utilization, space, workflow, layout, and equipment for maximum efficiency.
  • Produce and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Provide manufacturing decision-making information by calculating labor and material costs.
  • Prepare product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Confer with vendors to determine product specifications, purchase equipment/materials, and evaluate products according to standards.
  • Manage project implementation, schedule, budget, and resources to ensure successful completion. Estimate manufacturing costs and determine tooling and process requirements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical Engineering, or 3 years of equivalent experience.
  • Experience developing and improving manufacturing methods on the production floor, including making equipment adjustments.
  • Knowledge of metals, casting equipment, and related properties.
  • Computer proficiency and experience with robots.
  • Ability to maintain a preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Effective communication skills in written and verbal forms.
  • Physical ability to lift/carry 40 lbs and access all production areas.
  • Experience with hand tools and maintaining compliance with regulations.
  • Data analysis skills for process improvements.
  • Ability to coordinate maintenance and repairs to keep equipment operational.
