Qualifications

  • 2+ years of education in college or technical school.
  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in plant maintenance.

Job description

Pay Range: $28.50 - $30.69, depending on experience

Work Schedule: 3rd shift, 10pm - 6:30am, Sunday - Thursday, must be available for overtime work per business needs including potential weekends.

Job Overview

The Mechanic Manufacturing II is responsible for repairing and maintaining all assets in the production facility. This position responds promptly to equipment breakdowns, repairs machinery timely, and performs planned and unplanned maintenance as needed. The role also involves maintaining a safe and clean work environment, managing inventories, and implementing process improvements to enhance production efficiency.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Ensure machinery operation through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs following manuals and specifications.
  • Identify mechanical issues by observing equipment in operation and using testing instruments.
  • Maintain equipment by completing PMs, work orders, and managing parts and supplies.
  • Minimize downtime by coordinating with production staff and ensuring maintenance compliance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Ability to read and follow SOPs and instructions.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills.
  • Competence in monitoring and adjusting equipment parameters.
  • Problem-solving skills for complex process issues.
  • Ability to make mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic adjustments.
  • Preferred: Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical prints.
  • Understanding of complex processing equipment.
  • Initiative to enhance technical skills.
  • Experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) required.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Education beyond high school in college or technical school for at least 2 years.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with plant maintenance and high-speed production equipment, or technical certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Similar to minimum qualifications, emphasizing experience in plant maintenance and technical schooling.

Work environment includes noisy, wet, and extreme temperature conditions.
