We provide on-site mobile maintenance and repair services nationwide, servicing light, medium, and heavy-duty trucks and trailers. Our network includes over 50 service centers offering accident repair, painting, refurbishment, and heavy mechanical repair. We are currently hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician Level II.

The Mobile Diesel Technician Level II will perform licensed DOT inspections, preventative maintenance, light repairs, and diagnostics on various vehicles, under supervision. The role involves learning advanced mechanical skills and diagnostic techniques, ensuring high performance and compliance with company policies.

DUTIES:

  1. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and follow-up repairs on vehicles in a mobile environment.
  2. Conduct minor adjustments and repairs on truck equipment such as electrical, brake, cooling systems, starters, alternators, fan clutches, engine electronics, diesel steering systems, engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, etc.
  3. Diagnose malfunctions using test instruments and perform road tests to verify repairs.
  4. Manage parts inventory and perform safety checks on service vehicles.
  5. Communicate effectively with clients, manage multiple tasks, and document all work accurately using company devices and applications.
  6. Complete all required forms and maintain safety standards in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. High School Diploma/GED and 3 years’ related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Own a set of hand tools necessary for the job.
  3. Obtain ASE T8 (PMI) certification within 18 months.
  4. Pass a DOT physical and background screening; hold a valid driver’s license; be at least 21 years old.

Certifications required within 18 months:

  • ASE T8 (PMI)

Preferred certifications:

  • ASE T3, T4, T5, T6, T7, T8 (if not already obtained), and ASE 608/609.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and physical stamina skills.
  • Ability to lift, bend, climb, and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Effective use of tools and diagnostic equipment.
