Job summary

Colgate-Palmolive is seeking an Operations Associate in Morristown, TN to manage material handling, inventory, and preparation for startup, changeovers, and line clearance. You will ensure materials flow to and from production areas, support safety compliance and 5S practices.

Responsibilities include coordinating with planning, warehouse and suppliers, performing cycle counts, and completing SAP/WMS transactions to enable efficient production.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing/warehousing environment.
• Proficient with computers, software, and data processing.
• Must be able to work any shift, weekends and mandatory overtime as needed.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly for extended periods of time.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend to 90 degrees repeatedly.
• Demonstrated competency of Attention to Detail, Work Standards, Initiative and Managing Work.

Responsibilities

• Understand and ensure compliance with Quality, EOHS and FP&R guidelines.
• Unload and inspect inbound trailers, sample and test per SOPs.
• Transfer materials to storage, processing and finishing areas with required equipment.
• Ensure in-house availability of raw and packing materials according to schedule.
• Coordinate with planning, warehouse, receiving and vendors to ensure material availability.
• Prepare and load finished product for shipping using SAP.
• Record SAP, WMS, and forklift terminal transactions for receiving, transferring, shipping.
• Perform cycle counts and inventories.
• Complete forklift safety checks and maintenance daily.
• Change forklift batteries daily; assist with startup and line clearance.
• Maintain GMP and FDA compliance; housekeeping daily.
• Assist with scrap loading for disposal or recycling.
