Job summary

GE Vernova in Clearwater, FL is seeking a Master Scheduler to align production planning with customer demand, balancing capacity and material flow to meet service goals.

You will lead the master production schedule, work with Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, and Sales to manage risk, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement.

This role requires 3+ years ERP experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and clear authorization to work in the United States.

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college OR a High School diploma with at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing planning
  • Minimum of 3 years working with an ERP system

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update the production schedule to support timely delivery of customer orders while helping balance inventory levels, capacity utilization, and material flow.
  • Support the S&OP process by preparing planning inputs, reviewing demand and supply changes, and identifying medium- and long-term capacity or material risks.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules in response to changes in demand, supply disruptions, or manufacturing constraints; escalate risks and minimize impact to customer service.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up when the production plan is not achieved, helping identify recurring constraints and opportunities.
  • Support improvements to planning tools, ERP data accuracy, and reporting capabilities to meet evolving operational needs.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Customer Service to communicate schedule updates and mitigate risks to commitments.

Job Description Summary

The Master Scheduler plays a critical role in aligning production planning with customer demand, ensuring optimal service levels while supporting efficient material flow through the supply chain. Reporting to the Site Production Planning Leader, this role is responsible for scheduling customer orders in the manufacturing system and ensuring alignment with capacity, material availability, and overall business priorities by leading master production schedule (MPS) process.
The Master Scheduler will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Operations, Purchasing, Logistics, Sales—to improve system capabilities, reporting, and processes to support business growth and service objectives.

Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process by preparing planning inputs, reviewing demand and supply changes, and helping identify medium- and long-term capacity or material risks.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules in response to changes in demand, supply disruptions, or manufacturing constraints, escalating risks and helping minimize impact to customer service.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action follow-up when the production plan is not achieved, helping identify recurring constraints and improvement opportunities.
  • Support improvements to planning tools, ERP data accuracy, and reporting capabilities to meet evolving operational needs.
  • Partner with Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Customer Service teams to communicate schedule updates, resolve planning issues, and mitigate risks to customer commitments.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for sales order production status, supporting proactive communication on schedule risks, constraints, and recovery opportunities.
  • Provide guidance to production planners on scheduling inputs, system updates, and micro-scheduling alignment as needed.
  • Support Lean scheduling practices and inventory strategies that improve material flow, inventory turns, and shortage visibility.
  • Maintain planning metrics, KPIs, and reporting tools to provide visibility into schedule adherence, service levels, and process performance.
  • Participate in daily management with planners, weekly MPS reviews with production, and monthly S&OP reviews with stakeholders.
  • Apply planning and scheduling best practices to support consistent execution and continuous improvement.
  • Work within established policies and procedures, using sound judgment and critical thinking to meet expectations for quality, volume, and timeliness.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $76,300.00 and $114,400.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
