Job summary

Engine Power Components in Grand Haven, MI is seeking a Manufacturing Manager to lead operations, develop robust processes, and build nimble, reliable systems to support growth and continuous improvement.

Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, 10+ years of leadership in manufacturing (automotive preferred), deep knowledge of IATF 16949, and expertise in lean, Six Sigma and CI. ERP proficiency and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations, business or related field.
10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing (automotive preferred).
Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949 requirements and audits.
Expertise in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.
Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop teams; strong communication skills.
Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

Lead assigned departments per EPC policies, including staffing, training, and development.
Partner with leadership to develop and execute the Annual Operating Plan (AOP).
Monitor OEE, scrap, downtime, throughput; implement corrective actions.
Ensure IATF 16949 compliance and maintain audit readiness.
Champion lean initiatives to optimize cost, efficiency, and resources.
Drive production scheduling and control to minimize inventory and ensure on-time delivery.
Implement visual management on the shop floor to improve accountability.
Mentor and develop shift supervisors and team leaders.
