Job summary

Jabil is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead our onsite production operations in a fast-paced environment. You will direct Production Managers, shape manufacturing strategy, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets.

You will develop teams, align with engineering and quality, and manage budgets and staffing to meet customer demand. A high-performing leadership culture is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience driving Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence.
  • Experience managing budgets, workforce planning, and organizational development.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in high-volume manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for all production operations within the facility.
  • Lead, coach, and develop Production Managers and teams to achieve objectives.
  • Establish and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with goals and customer requirements.
  • Drive daily performance to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost targets.
  • Develop performance metrics and implement corrective actions for improvement.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, HR, and others for alignment.
  • Develop production schedules, staffing plans, and resource strategies.
  • Champion Lean, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence to reduce waste.
  • Analyze manufacturing data and implement improvement plans.
  • Lead workforce planning, talent development, and succession planning.

How will you make an impact?

As a Manufacturing Manager, you will play a critical role in shaping operational success by leading manufacturing strategy, developing high-performing teams, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will influence plant performance through operational excellence, workforce development, and cross-functional collaboration while fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and safety.

What will you do?
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for all production operations within the facility.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, and develop Production Managers and their teams to achieve operational and business objectives.
  • Establish and execute manufacturing strategies aligned with plant goals and customer requirements.
  • Drive daily manufacturing performance to meet or exceed safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.
  • Develop performance expectations, monitor operational metrics, and implement corrective actions to improve results.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, Human Resources, and other functional leaders to ensure operational alignment.
  • Develop production schedules, staffing plans, and resource strategies to support customer demand.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence initiatives to improve productivity and eliminate waste.
  • Analyze manufacturing performance data and implement improvement plans that support business objectives.
  • Lead workforce planning initiatives, including talent development, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Oversee Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, and Engineering Support functions as required.
  • Develop and manage departmental operating budgets, capital expenditures, and labor planning.
  • Approve and support employee training and development programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies, regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality management systems.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for production challenges, resource constraints, and operational issues.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing organization.
  • Build and maintain a high-performing leadership team focused on operational excellence and employee development.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
How will you get here?
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or another technical discipline; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Extensive experience leading production operations through multiple levels of management.
  • Experience driving Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Demonstrated success managing budgets, workforce planning, and organizational development.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute manufacturing strategies that support business objectives.
  • Excellent knowledge of production processes, manufacturing systems, and operational best practices.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen with experience managing operational metrics and budgets.
  • Demonstrated success leading change management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships across multiple functions.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent Continuous Improvement certification.
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing or a high-volume, highly regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience leading multiple production departments or large manufacturing organizations.
  • Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and manufacturing performance reporting tools.
