Qualifications

  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in automotive
  • Strong knowledge of automotive quality systems and process improvement
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen
  • Proven leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with ERP/MRP and Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and delivery objectives.
  • Develop and manage production schedules to support demand and on-time shipment.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop production teams and promote accountability.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and related requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen.
  • Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Monitor OEE, scrap, yield, downtime, and cycle times.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage labor, operating costs, and production budgets for profitability.
  • Support new product launches, equipment implementation, and process validation.
  • Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior leadership.

Job Summary

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for directing and optimizing all production activities within an automotive manufacturing environment. This role ensures safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations while meeting customer quality standards and delivery requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive manufacturing, team leadership, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and delivery objectives.
  • Develop and manage production schedules to support customer demand and on-time shipment performance.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop production teams while promoting a positive and accountable work culture.
  • Ensure compliance with automotive quality standards, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and related requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to optimize production efficiency.
  • Monitor key manufacturing metrics such as OEE, scrap, yield, downtime, and cycle times.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by enforcing company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage labor utilization, operating costs, and production budgets to support profitability goals.
  • Support new product launches, equipment implementation, process improvements, and validation activities.
  • Prepare and present operational performance reports to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in an automotive production environment.
  • Strong understanding of automotive quality systems, manufacturing processes, and process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, root cause analysis, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Proven leadership, team-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
