  • Own production planning and capacity alignment in coordination with planning and materials teams.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to supervisors and leads, promoting skill development and high performance.
  • Oversee tool crib operations to support uptime and availability of tools, gages, and consumables.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions related to production issues or nonconformance.

Requirements

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Direct experience supporting parts and assemblies typical of advanced military aircraft platforms (e.g., tight-tolerance structure, complex assemblies, mission-critical hardware).
  • Familiarity with ITAR, export compliance, and secure data handling protocols.
  • Prior exposure to rapid changeover environments and high-performance production planning.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8 years of manufacturing experience in aerospace precision machining, with 4-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of managing teams producing close-tolerance components for military aerospace applications.
  • In-depth understanding of AS9100, First Article Inspection (FAI), and traceability requirements.
  • Working knowledge of multi-axis CNC machining, CMM inspection, and aerospace-grade materials (e.g., titanium, Inconel, aluminum).
  • Experience managing complex work orders, router travelers, and build documentation to support configuration-controlled parts.
  • Strong understanding of process control, tooling strategies, and production readiness for recurring and non-recurring manufacturing.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications with confidence.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, ideally in a high-mix, low-volume environment.
