Job summary

Centro Incorporated in Benson, MN is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners with production teams to maintain equipment reliability and safe production environments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong hands-on background with electrical and mechanical systems, a safety mindset, and a collaborative approach to drive uptime and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three years of maintenance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance principles.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and maintenance machinery.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Commitment to safety, quality, attendance, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, tooling, buildings, and utility systems.
• Diagnose equipment issues and complete repairs to minimize production interruptions.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating, cooling, and related systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, manuals, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Maintain maintenance records and identify replacement parts and equipment needs.
• Support equipment shutdowns, startups, and changeover activities.
• Train production associates on basic maintenance procedures and equipment care.
