JOB DETAILS

Base pay starts at $34.50 - $37.50 per hour

1st Shift: Rotating Shifts 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Duties and Responsibilities

An Electrical Mechanical Controls Technician must demonstrate the ability to safely troubleshoot, change, install, and commission all components of mechanical and electrical systems. The technician must troubleshoot, analyze, and repair components such as motors, MCCs, VFDs, transformers, switch gears, lighting, relays, PLCs (Allen Bradley preferred), overhead crane controls, wiring, instrumentation, control valves, DCS systems, controllers, HMIs, UPS systems, and similar equipment. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with safety standards, troubleshooting electrical equipment, executing repair procedures, maintaining good housekeeping, documenting repairs, and updating procedures as needed.

• Understand safety rules for hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical equipment
• Handle technical projects and resolve complex problems
• Make decisions based on analysis of complex factors
• Install and repair electrical equipment, working from blueprints and instructions
• Use welding equipment and hand tools effectively
• Diagnose electrical system issues and perform load calculations
• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance
• Maintain buildings and notify management of major repairs
• Guide and assist junior staff and team members
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Team Leader

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Electrical Mechanical Technician in an industrial setting
• Strong troubleshooting, safety, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with pneumatic and mechanical systems, medium voltage troubleshooting (480 VAC, 750 VDC), transformers, motors, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, communication protocols, and electrical diagrams
