Job summary

First Solar is seeking a skilled technician to assist in installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot day-to-day issues, and perform maintenance to keep production processes efficient. The role supports yield improvements and training of production staff.

Ideal candidates have relevant technical education and hands-on experience in manufacturing or EMT, with a safety-first approach and strong problem-solving abilities. On-site work in Perrysburg, Ohio is expected.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a technical discipline or equivalent.
• Two+ years machine or mechanical experience as primary job function.
• One year First Solar technical experience.
• Six months EMT experience with rating 5+ in relevant EMT categories.

Responsibilities

• Solves day-to-day production, equipment, and process problems.
• Performs on-site service and repair of equipment.
• Identifies and implements yield and product performance improvements.
• Develops and updates internal documentation including drawings, SOPs, and process specs.
• Provides training to production associates.
