Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associates degree in a technical discipline.
• Two or more years of machine or mechanic experience as a primary job function.
• One year First Solar technical experience.
• Six months experience as Temporary Manufacturing Engineering Technician at First Solar.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the installation and qualification of manufacturing equipment.
• Troubleshoots day-to-day manufacturing issues and identifies system improvements.
• Develops methods to assign causes to yield excursions and improve product performance.
• Maintains gauges and ensures processes run on target per the Process Control Plan.
• Responds to SPC process control alarms and executes planned process experiments.
• Provides training to production associates and updates internal documentation.
