Manufacturing Maintenance Technician 3rd Shift

Join us as a Manufacturing Maintenance Technician 3rd Shift at Crown Bakeries.

Job Summary

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in maintaining bakery operations by ensuring equipment uptime and driving continuous improvement through our PM program and special projects. Responsibilities include organizing and facilitating maintenance on all production and facility equipment, troubleshooting electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical issues, and contributing to innovation and productivity within the team.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot & replace 3 Phase motors & VFDs
• Read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
• Work with low voltage DC circuits and electrical devices such as prox sensors, photo eyes, relays, contactors, and safety relays
• Troubleshoot control circuits, hydraulics, and pneumatics
• Use meters and Meggers for repairs and troubleshooting
• Repair, rebuild, and modify electrical and mechanical components
• Install and fabricate equipment to meet production needs
• Communicate maintenance issues across shifts and with management
• Participate in safety, quality, and housekeeping initiatives
• Identify and replace worn bushings or bearings
• Learn welding techniques (Tig, Stick, Mig)

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong industrial electrical experience required
• High School Diploma and 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, 3-phase motors, VSDs, and controls
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Food manufacturing experience is a plus but not required

Work Conditions

• Work in noisy, wet, humid, hot, or cold environments
• Work around machinery indoors and outdoors
