Job summary

Itape is seeking a Production Maintenance Tech in Midland, NC to provide maintenance support for the plant. The role involves installing, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment up to three-phase 480V, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with production teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience, strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, PLC, AC/DC drives, and welding, with solid English communication and PPE usage.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in industrial maintenance required.
• Extensive knowledge troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic systems, PLC, AC/DC drives, and welding fabrication.
• Intermediate math and English written communication skills necessary.
• Demonstrates proper use of personal protective equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 70 lbs, and work in hot environments.

Responsibilities

• Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment up to three-phase 480V.
• Performs preventive maintenance and keeps records for safe, reliable equipment.
• Acts as point of contact for production for maintenance issues and troubleshooting.
• Diagnoses and repairs forklifts, pumps, hydraulics, and related equipment.
• Maintains and refills parts inventory; responds promptly to unplanned failures.
• Communicates equipment issues and safety concerns to operators and supervisors.
• Ensures proper use of PPE and follows safety procedures.
• Performs related tasks as requested by supervisor.

Position Description

Title: Production Maintenance Tech

Department: Maintenance

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Status: Non-Exempt Hourly

Position Purpose: Provides maintenance support for the plant.

Principle Accountabilities

• Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment including replacing motors, relays, and switches on varied machinery up to and including three phases 480-volt energy.
• Performs preventive maintenance and maintains records to ensure safe, reliable equipment.
• Serves as point person for production personnel in regard to preventative maintenance and problem equipment troubleshooting.
• Diagnoses and repair forklifts, pumps, hydraulics, and other related equipment
• Maintains and refills parts inventory
• Provides prompt response to and resolution of unplanned equipment failures resulting in production down time.
• Effectively communicates with machine operators and supervisors including equipment issues and safety concerns and in fractions.
• Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
• Related tasks as requested by supervisor.

Essential Skills and Experience

• 5+ Years in Industrial Maintenance required.
• Extensive knowledge troubleshooting and issue resolution of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, circuitry, PLC, AC/DC drives, and welding fabrication required.
• Intermediate math and computer skills and English written communication skills necessary.
• Demonstrates proper usage of personal protective equipment
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time, lifting up to 70 lbs., and work in hot environments on a constant basis.

• Ability to meet objectives and deadlines with minimum supervision required.
