Job summary

Central Garden & Pet Company, a leader in pet and garden products, seeks a Maintenance Technician for its Greeley, CO facility. You will maintain and repair production equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure safety standards are met.

The role requires hands-on mechanical skills, the ability to read manuals and schematics, and experience with welding or fabrication is a plus. This is a full-time on-site position with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1+ year manufacturing experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Basic math and ability to read technical documents is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure operation of machinery by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and repair issues with mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Fabricate and replace parts using hand and power tools; utilize machine shop equipment.
• Install and set up production machines; disassemble and replace components such as motors, bearings, and belts.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and diagrams for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Operate forklifts, bobcats, tractors, and other equipment for facility and machine maintenance.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant working environment by following safety policies and Food Safety regulations; perform emergency repairs as needed.
