Job summary

Ferrara is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for our Fairfield, CA facility. This on-site leadership role oversees a team of Mechanics, assigns daily work orders, and drives preventative maintenance to keep production on schedule and compliant with CAL OSHA and GMP standards.

You will collaborate with operations to reduce downtime, monitor equipment, prepare reports, and train subordinates on procedures while maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient plant environment.

Responsibilities

• Manages and develops direct staff, including directing the Service/Sanitation crew as necessary.
• Assigns and supervises delegated daily work assignments in an efficient, safe manner.
• Reports all observed safety hazards to manager.
• Conducts daily inspection rounds of the facility and coordinates maintenance work with operations.
• Maintains professional conduct, adheres to plant rules and ensures smooth shift continuity.
• Directs multi-skilled Mechanics across maintenance, electrical, piping, and fabrication tasks.
• Keeps equipment rooms and work areas clean and orderly.
• Plans and schedules work to minimize downtime and ensures parts are available.
• Is on-call for plant emergencies and operational needs.
• Maintains records and prepares reports on maintenance activities.
