AUTOKINITON is seeking a Manufacturing Maintenance Superintendent at our Chicago plant. This role leads maintenance operations, mentors a team, and partners with leadership to drive plant goals in cost, quality, service, safety, and waste reduction.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in stamping/assembly, electrical/HVAC, and preventive maintenance, with a track record in training and development. This is a full-time position within the Operations team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing/engineering or industrial technology preferred.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience as a maintenance supervisor; 2+ years in management.
• Knowledge of stamping and/or assembly processes as required for the position.
• Strong knowledge of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 regulations.
• Detailed knowledge of electrical, HVAC, pipe fitting, machine repair and construction methods.
• Experience as a training facilitator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead performance feedback and supervision of all direct reports with coaching and corrective actions.
• Input into development of the plant’s strategic business plan and track key metrics.
• Lead all building and press maintenance activities in the plant.
• Support plant goals of cost, quality, service, safety, and waste reduction.
• Provide leadership in preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
• Foster a continuous improvement mindset within the team.

To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

• Responsible for performance feedback and leadership of all direct reports including mentoring, coaching, counseling and corrective action when situations dictate.
• Provide key input into the development of the Plant’s strategic business plan and identify and track key measurable to support plant business plan goals.
• Responsible for leading all building and press maintenance activities in the plant.
• Support plant goals of cost, quality, service, safety, and raw material waste.
• Provide leadership in preventative/ predictive maintenance programs.
• Provide the proactive leadership necessary to achieve and maintain a continuous improvement mind set for the team.

This full-time, salary, role is a part of our Operations team and reports to the Maintenance Manager.

Required experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in applied science in Manufacturing, Engineering or Industrial Technology preferred. Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of eight (8) years’ experience as a maintenance supervisor preferred, and two (2) years of management experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing, stamping, and/or assembly processes as required for the position.
• Strong knowledge of TS 16949 and ISO 14001 regulations.

• Detailed knowledge of electrical, HVAC, pipe fitting, machine repair and construction methods.
• Knowledge of automotive equipment, preventive and predictive maintenance processes.
• Experience as a training facilitator preferred.
