Job summary

WinCup in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to troubleshoot and repair production and packaging equipment, including straw machines, baggers and conveyors. The role requires reading and following job orders, performing safe lock-out/tag-out, and maintaining quality standards on a fast-paced line.

Qualifications

• At least two years’ experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical aptitude of sound judgement.
• Mathematical knowledge.
• Basic PC skills including Excel and use of web based applications.
• Must be able to read, write and communicate in English to complete paperwork.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good planning and organizing skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses problems by inspecting and disassembling equipment to determine extent of repairs.
• Performs mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic and hydro repairs to straw machines and conveyors.
• Uses drawings, diagrams and manuals when diagnosing problems and making repairs.
• Performs equipment evaluations at the start of shift to ensure production flow.
• Repairs and rebuilds parts such as guards, hoppers, cylinders and valves.
• Reads job orders and specifications required for the job.
• Maintains quality by adjusting machines to ensure correct lengths, cuts, diameter and color.
