Job summary

Polynt Group in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to perform troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance on mechanical systems in a 24/7 manufacturing facility. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and supports the production process.

Candidates should have strong knowledge of mechanical systems, be able to read SOPs, and be comfortable working nights and weekends on a rotating on-call schedule.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of mechanical systems and their components.
• Ability to read and interpret standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Rigging and other standard skills of the trade.
• Lift and control a minimum of 50 lbs from floor level to standing position.
• Ability to work in rotating on-call schedule covering nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to site safety standards and policies to ensure safe work for staff, contractors, and visitors.
• Perform scheduled and breakdown repairs on pumps, valves, piping, agitation, fans, seals and packing.
• Troubleshoot equipment reliability issues and develop repair plans.
• Complete work orders and update plant equipment files.
• Assist in selecting components and determine quantities for repairs and spare stock.
• Install and modify piping systems.
• Learn and apply maintenance and safety procedures.
• Do minor structural, painting, insulation, and light sheet metal work.
• Snow removal and related maintenance tasks as needed.
