Job summary

Owens & Minor is hiring a Mill Maintenance Technician to join the Mill’s Technical Services Team, responsible for maintenance, repair and reliability improvements of plant assets. The first year includes a 12-hour rotating shift during training.

You will inspect, calibrate, and install hydraulic/pneumatic systems, fabricate and weld as needed, and troubleshoot to provide safe, practical solutions. A 2-year technical degree or 3+ years industrial maintenance is required.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or 3+ years in industrial maintenance
• Experience troubleshooting plant equipment
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts
• Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Fabrication and welding experience
• Pipe fitting and bearing installation knowledge
• SAP Work Order System a plus
• Good communication and teamwork

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and reliability improvements on plant assets

This is for the first year which is training.Compensation: $27.89 - $34.88 based on experienceDaily overtime, anything worked over 12 hours daily will be paid out at time & ½.You are paid double time when you work on Sundays.You are paid double time plus holiday pay when you work on a holiday.Pay increase: as you learn more about your position and become certified in a module, you will receive a pay increase.Job SummaryThis position will report to the Maintenance Team Manager and be a member of the Mill’s Technical Services Team assigned to support plant and production assets. The position is responsible for maintenance, repair and reliability improvements of the asset equipment. The first year will require working a 12-hour rotating swing Shift and after 1 year of training , - eligible for 8 hour Day shift.Core Accountabilities / ExpectationsResponsible for the maintenance and repair of all equipment in the plant.
