Job summary

Atkins & Pearce, Inc. in Kentucky is seeking a General Maintenance worker to perform machine care, carrier maintenance, degreaser operation, and housekeeping as part of the daily shift.

Responsibilities include lubricating machines, inspecting and rebuilding carriers, operating the degreaser, changing over lines, and maintaining clean facilities. Forklift experience and attention to safety are required; standard hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Some general mechanical experience preferred.
• Forklift license required for some job tasks.
• Lock out certification.
• Attention to details and safety awareness.
• Ability to read and interpret labels explaining directions.
• Teamwork, face-to-face communication and good attendance.

Responsibilities

• Lubricate machines and perform routine care.
• Identify and inspect carriers; disassemble and rebuild as needed.
• Operate the degreaser according to procedure and wash spools.
• Perform changeovers and assist with air wash maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping in break rooms, rest rooms and grounds.
