Job summary

Fastenal in Indianapolis, IN seeks a Manufacturing Machinist to set up and operate turning centers, machining centers, and various manual equipment at the IN180 facility. This full-time role offers a potential flexible schedule after onboarding and performance goals.

Ideal candidates are 18+, with strong math, communication, and organizational skills, capable of lifting up to 50 lbs (up to 100 lbs). Training provided, with a focus on health and safety and sustainability.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude and attention to detail
• Strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
• Ability to work both independently and in a team
• Ability to learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
• Demonstrate core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork
• Lift, slide, carry and lower packages weighing 25–50 lbs (up to 100 lbs)
• Pass the required drug screen in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam (where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate multiple pieces of equipment such as turning centers and machining centers
• Perform accurate inspections on products
• Run multiple pieces of equipment at once
• Assist fellow employees as needed
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
• Comply with health, safety and sustainability rules
• Participate in EH&S trainings and programs
