Job summary

Wabtec in Warren, OH seeks a manufacturing machine operator to work independently or with a team producing high-quality parts. You will operate hammers, presses, drills, grinders, and other equipment while interpreting blueprints and specifications to ensure accuracy.

Safety rules and PPE are essential in this heavy manufacturing environment. The role includes following work instructions, supporting special projects, and communicating clearly with coworkers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• 3 months of related experience/training or equivalent combination of education and experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Must be able to read and follow all quality process/work instructions.
• Must obey all safety rules and wear all proper Personal Protection Equipment
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals.
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Operate a variety of machines, hammers, presses, drills, and/or grinders.
• Ensure workpiece quality is at the required specifications
• Analyze blueprints of parts and/or dies
• Verify conformance of machines workpieces to specifications
• Participate in special projects
• Follow instructions of group/crew leader
• Other duties as assigned
