Manufacturing Machine Operator - Night Shift

Join us as a Manufacturing Machine Operator - Night Shift at Mativ.

Location: Athens, GA

Position Overview: Support Mativ’s Filtration Advanced Materials Business by operating machine lines safely and efficiently, including setup, startup, monitoring, testing, and production reporting.

Shift Hours: 7:45 PM to 8:00 AM (night shift). Training will occur during day hours for the first few weeks.

Responsibilities:

1. Setup: Read schedules, BOM, SOC; select and install tooling; ensure correct resin.
2. Startup: Configure controls, activate equipment, test products, make adjustments, verify specifications, package finished products, troubleshoot, and perform QC tests.
3. Tooling: Identify damage, clean, and return tooling.
4. Safety: Follow accident reporting procedures, maintain housekeeping, comply with OSHA safety requirements, and know safety equipment locations.

Qualifications:

Preferred:

• Forklift certification
• Understanding of Data Collection Systems
• Mechanical background
• Proficiency with measuring tools and systems
• Basic computer and math skills

Physical and Environmental Demands:

• Work in varying temperatures and environments with dust, fumes, and odors.
• Wear PPE including safety shoes, glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and adhere to dress policies.
• Lift at least 75 pounds, work 12-hour shifts, perform repetitive tasks, and execute physical movements including reaching, climbing, bending, and crouching.
