Susquehanna Printing is seeking a full-time Inserter/Bindery Machine Operator to join our team. The role involves machine setup for various jobs, material handling, product stacking, packaging, and distribution of printed products. This position offers opportunities for skill advancement.

Schedule: Shifts vary between 10-12 hours, starting as early as 5pm and ending as late as 3-4am, 4-5 days a week based on production needs.

Essential Job Functions:

• Prioritize safety and injury prevention, reporting unsafe conditions immediately.
• Set up and operate machines according to customer specifications.
• Handle materials safely using forklifts, hand trucks, and dollies.
• Feed pre-printed materials into machines as needed.
• Complete paperwork, operate stackers, and stack printed products, monitoring quality.
• Build and load skids and bundles accurately and evenly.
• Operate stretch wrap machines and perform preventative maintenance on post-press equipment.
• Perform quality checks and ensure product accuracy and defect-free output.
• Maintain a clean work area and adapt to production schedules.
• Identify problems proactively and communicate effectively with team members and management.
• Work overtime on weekdays and weekends as required.

Conveniently located off Route 30, with easy access to major cities like Philadelphia, Baltimore, and Washington D.C.

Requirements:

• Preferred experience with Muller Martini Alphaliner Inserter, Heidelberg Goss NP632 Inserter, Muller Martini Saddle Stitchers, or Quipp 500 series stackers.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Experience with operating and maintaining stacking, inserting, and binding equipment.
• Good attendance and ability to read and interpret paperwork.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable and able to work in all weather conditions.

Working Conditions:

• Climate-controlled environment; may require overtime and standing throughout shifts.
