Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience for L2 Technicians in hand layup aircraft composites.
• 4-5 years of experience for L3 Technicians with knowledge of material management.

Responsibilities

• Perform lay-up, braiding, and filament winding of composite materials.
• Control heat, pressure, and timing according to specifications.
• Monitor and verify quality of products and perform repairs as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Perform lay-up, braiding, and filament winding of composite materials in accordance with customer and company specifications, following safety policies and using proper PPE.
• Bond dissimilar materials (composite, metal, laminate) into semi-finished or finished products.
• Lay out articles, cut parts or materials to size.
• Apply bonding agents, operate autoclaves, hydraulic presses, and ovens for bonding cycles.
• Control heat, pressure, and timing according to specifications.
• Sand, burr, smooth, and seal edges of finished products.
• Monitor and verify quality of products and perform repairs as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Identify process materials, prepregs, adhesives, and resins.
• Assist with cutting and kitting materials.
• Complete lay-ups using measuring instruments, blueprints, or laser ply projectors.
• Vacuum bag shapes and sizes.
• Operate machinery via PLC interface.
• Assist with loading autoclaves and ovens using forklifts, cranes, or carts.
• Participate in manufacturing, assembly, and operation tasks.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.

L2 Technicians: 2-3 years of experience in hand layup aircraft composites, understanding ply orientation, defect types, and bagging process.

L3 Technicians: 4-5 years of experience, with knowledge of material management, multiple resin systems, core ply layup, NDI, inspection, and safety.
