Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Manufacturing Line Operator in Lawrence, KS to oversee, monitor, and adjust equipment on a continuous manufacturing line. You will ensure safety, quality, and efficiency while supporting production targets and learning the equipment and processes.

The role involves monitoring speeds, temperatures, pressures, and tank settings, with responsibilities including quality checks, equipment adjustments, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, industrial, machine operation, or production environment preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of how production equipment operates.
• Experience operating, monitoring, or adjusting manufacturing machinery preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic production and equipment issues.
• Basic math and measuring skills.
• Ability to follow production schedules, work instructions, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, start, stop, and adjust production line equipment.
• Monitor production speed and adjust as needed.
• Monitor chemical temperatures, pressures, foam reactivity, density, and tank settings.
• Adjust hoses, nozzles, cameras, lights, and other production equipment.
• Monitor hot melt glue systems and other components of the process.
• Load and verify production and embossment programs.
• Review production run sheets and determine the production sequence.
• Perform routine quality checks including product weight and measurements.
• Identify production or quality issues and make equipment adjustments.
• Maintain steel and material supply to support continuous production.
• Operate and maintain cut-off saws and blades.
• Communicate production issues clearly with supervisors and team members.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Assist with training new team members.
• Follow all required safety procedures and PPE requirements.
