Job summary

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Machine Operator for the Kansas City, KS Shape facility. Responsible for operating equipment to ensure optimum product quality and adherence to procedures.

Key duties include setup verification, operation and shutdown of machinery, quality checks, and maintaining logs. The role requires safety awareness, basic math, and the ability to train new staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment preferred.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) preferred.
• Must be able to perform simple math and use basic hand-held measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment such as the Pre-Expander, Mold, Lamination Line, Block – Auto Line, etc.
• Verify equipment setup prior to start of a production run and operate/shut down machinery.
• Monitor equipment and report malfunctions to supervisor; assist with routine cleaning.
• Troubleshoot and adjust equipment settings as needed.
• Train new employees and maintain accurate work logs and required reports.
