Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Press/TLL Operator to safely set up, operate, and monitor industrial presses and related equipment on a Lawrence, KS production floor. The role emphasizes mechanical aptitude, accuracy, and adherence to production schedules within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include die changes, quality checks, material verification, and documentation, while maintaining a safe, clean workspace and supporting continuous improvement initiatives on the line.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing and machine operation in industrial settings.
• Ability to perform die changes and machine setup/die changes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform quality checks.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders, BOMs, and production instructions.
• Proficiency with measurement tools and basic math for dimension checks.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate raised panel presses and related production equipment.Perform die changes and verify correct dies and tooling.
• Monitor equipment operation and perform basic troubleshooting to maintain performance.
• Identify materials by gauge, dimensions, stamp, and style before and during production.
• Conduct quality checks throughout production using appropriate measuring tools.
• Read work orders and bills of materials to ensure accurate production sequencing.
• Maintain documentation including production paperwork and inventory transactions.
• Support production pace and communicate issues to leadership.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with standards.
