Job summary

RRD seeks a Learning and Development Specialist focused on manufacturing training and apprenticeship programs. You will design, maintain, and improve standardized offerings and coordinate with site leadership to align employee performance with organizational goals.

The role involves creating classroom, e-learning, and on-the-job training, interacting with SMEs and trainees, and driving training initiatives across facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to functional work.
• 2+ years of progressive work experience in learning and development or related field.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills.
• Proficient with Google Workspace collaboration tools.
• Understanding of Adult Learning Theory.
• Adept with multimedia training platforms and methods.
• Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives.
• Ability to design and implement effective training and development solutions.

Responsibilities

• Perform needs analysis through relationships with local leadership and staff to identify training needs.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate learning interventions to achieve business objectives.
• Create engaging courseware and training materials across mediums (classroom, e-learning, on-the-job).
• Coordinate training activities including apprenticeships and manufacturing training.
• Develop standardized training/apprenticeship metrics to evaluate success.
• Support local personnel in Apprenticeships and related training implementation.
• Track progress in online learning and compliance courses via LMS; apply evaluation methodologies.
• Create reports to present findings to mid-level management or HR partners.
• Recommend changes to improve employee performance and training effectiveness.
• Drive analysis of skills development for each role; document needs from interviews.
