Job summary

Johnson & Johnson MedTech seeks a Manufacturing Lead to join the Ottava production team in Santa Clara. You will drive production excellence, coordinate daily activities, and mentor technicians on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.

You’ll liaise with engineering, quality, and operations to remove barriers, ensure schedules, and maintain safety and GDP compliance. This hands-on role offers growth in a cutting-edge environment within Surgical Robotics OTTAVA.

Qualifications

Minimum education: associate degree with 6–8 years of related experience or engineering/mechatronics degree with 6–8 years of related experience.
Experience as Manufacturing Technician in medical device or complex electromechanical capital equipment with GDP.
Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills and capability to mentor technicians.

Responsibilities

Lead daily production floor activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
Coordinate technician work priorities based on production needs and resources.
Mentor, coach, and develop manufacturing technicians with hands-on support for troubleshooting and assembly.
Facilitate shift handoffs and communicate production status to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Lead Kaizen events and Lean manufacturing projects to drive continuous improvement.
