Freedom Living co. seeks an experienced Manufacturing Lead - Line to guide a production team, ensuring quality and adherence to customer specs on the 1st shift.

You will translate supervisor directions to the floor, delegate tasks, and ensure safety, efficiency, and consistent productivity across the line.

  • Minimum of 1 year working in manufacturing.
  • English is required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, guide, and motivate staff to perform at their best.
  • Demonstrate job instructions to new and temporary staff, adhering to departmental expectations when not performing these duties.
  • Evaluate incoming orders and set up the production line accordingly.
  • Collaborate and communicate within the department, extending communication to multiple departments within the organization.
  • Foster an environment of positive morale and high-performance expectations.
  • Regroup associates within assigned areas to maximize team members' strengths.
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to team members.
  • Identify and report/resolve production line problems promptly.
  • Maintain a fully operational, safe, and tidy work environment.

Job description

As a Manufacturing Lead - Line, you play a crucial role as a lead figure in the department, bridging information from supervisors and upper management to your team. Operating in larger departments and acting as a lead/delegator on the production floor, your focus is on ensuring product quality, meeting customer specifications, and consistently achieving efficiency and productivity targets. In addition to providing hands‑on direction to associates, you coordinate tasks, demonstrate job instructions to new hires, and occasionally step in for Assistant Supervisors and Supervisors.

1st Shift Between: 5: 00 AM-1:30 PM with the possibility of 7:00 am - 3:30 pm if needed for closing or receiving hours

The expected hourly pay range for this position is $17.50per hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, internal equity, and other factors permitted by law.
