Job summary

Fastenal Co. in Wallingford, CT is seeking a Manufacturing Lead Machinist for full-time day shift (6:00am–2:30pm) at the CT180 Manufacturing Facility.

You will oversee shop floor operations, coordinate workloads with the operations manager and inside sales, and lead machine operators to meet production goals. Responsibilities include supporting the shop, ensuring quality and on-time delivery, maintaining accuracy, and upholding safety.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• 2+ years of manufacturing work experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency.
• Excellent safety and attendance records.
• Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work.
• Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Willingness to learn multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

OVERVIEW

Working as Full-time Manufacturing Lead Machinist, you will be responsible for the daily operations of the shop floor including to support the continued growth of the Manufacturing division. This position will work with the operations manager, inside sales team and other lead machinists to schedule machine workloads.

RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this position is $60,000 - 85,000. In addition to base pay, this position is also eligible for a bonus and/or commission.
