9 Mothers Corporation in Austin, TX is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Lead. This first manufacturing-focused role will define and stand up our in-house and supplier-based production, writing the initial MIs and establishing scalable processes.

You’ll own DFM/DFA, supplier qualification, and cost modeling, while working hands-on on early builds. This is a ground-floor opportunity with relocation support and an Austin-based culture.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of manufacturing engineering / operations experience on hardware products that shipped
• Experience taking a product from prototype to production and leading the transition
• Fluency with hardware production tools and methods such as DFM/DFA, PFMEA, tolerance analysis, and line setup

Responsabilités

• Define the manufacturing strategy and make/buy roadmap for in-house vs. outsourced manufacturing
• Build early units and write the initial manufacturing instructions and process docs
• Stand up the production process with routings, stations, tooling, and material flow
• Drive design for manufacturability with engineering teams
• Qualify and manage suppliers, including first-article inspection and corrective actions
• Lay the quality foundation with inspections, in-process checks, and serialization
• Own BOM discipline and support ERP/MRP tooling
• Run pilot and low-rate builds and translate learnings into process improvements
• Understand and shape unit costs and future manufacturing organization
