Job summary

Johnson Service Group is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Lead to oversee the Graveyard Shift operations. You will lead the manufacturing team to deliver high-quality, precise units and support continuous improvement in processes.

The role requires direct supervision of hourly staff, coordinating daily production activities, and championing 5S and KPI monitoring while maintaining safety and communication across shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 2–4 years experience in manufacturing environment.
• Experience training employees in MPI (Manufacturing Process Instruction).
• Advanced Excel skills and data handling expected.

Responsibilities

• Participate in shift start-up meetings with your department team.
• Communicate priorities, targets, any issues, process updates and quality goals.
• Attend daily recap production/shipping meeting when Supervisor is not present.
• Direct hourly employees and coordinates daily production activities.
• Develop methods and procedures to improve productivity and quality.
• Utilize Flow process of Work in Progress for efficient operations.
• Prepare daily productivity reports.
• Evaluate issues and potential problems proactively.
• Ensure 5S housekeeping duties are performed daily.
• Maintain open communication with hourly reports regarding goals and accomplishments.
• Monitor department KPIs for results and trends.
• Develop contingencies and short-term processes as needed.
• Identify bottlenecks that affect area goals or standards.
• Develop hourly employees through training, coaching and mentoring.

Join Johnson Service Group as a \"hands on\" Manufacturing Lead for Graveyard Shift

We are looking for a hands on Manufacturing Lead to oversee our Graveyard Shift operations. In this dynamic position, you will lead the manufacturing team ensuring every unit meets their high standards for quality and precision. Your leadership will directly contribute to delivering reliable, top-tier infrastructure solutions for our clients, making a lasting impact in the technology and data industry.

Graveyard Shift: 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.

Payrate $29 per hour. Overtime & Bonus Eligibility: Saturday overtime is available after completing 40 hours during the standard work week. Saturday overtime includes 1.5x regular pay plus a $75 bonus.

Responsibilities

• Participating in shift start-up meetings with your department team

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding and adherence to manufacturing documentation (MPI).
• Skills to train employees in department MPI (Manufacturing Process Instruction) documents
• Advanced computer skills with beginning to intermediate skill level (knowledge) in excel
• Works on assignments that are primarily complex in nature.
• Considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations
• Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.
• Must be able to effectively work within a team environment.
• May lead and provide guidance to lower-level nonexempt associates.
• Viewed as an expert in job assignments and related tasks.
