Job summary

HTC Global Services is seeking a Manufacturing IT Support Engineer to ensure reliable operation of IT infrastructure across servers, networks, storage, and virtualization in a multi-shift manufacturing environment. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3-5 years of experience in IT Operations or related field.

Job Title: Manufacturing IT Support Engineer

The Manufacturing IT Support Engineer is responsible for ensuring reliable and efficient operation of IT infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, networks, storage systems, telecommunications, virtualization platforms, PCs, and other business-critical infrastructure. This role provides technical support to internal users, troubleshoots and escalates issues, supports system setup and configuration, and helps maintain the availability and reliability of critical IT systems.

The position supports a multi-shift manufacturing environment and provides technical support for IT applications, infrastructure, operating systems, and end-user productivity tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage systems, mainframes, telecommunications networks, and virtualization platforms.
• Collaborate with security teams to implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
• Configure and maintain networking equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, QoS, and wireless access points.
• Establish and maintain data backup and recovery procedures to support business continuity.
• Monitor enterprise system usage and SLA metrics to identify and proactively resolve potential issues.
• Analyze system capacity and performance trends to anticipate future infrastructure needs and provide recommendations for infrastructure investments.
• Perform routine network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and enhancements.
• Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts and automated processes to reduce manual intervention and improve repeatability and testability.
• Troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues escalated by technical support teams.
• Document issue resolutions and maintain accurate support documentation and knowledge repositories.
• Set up and configure user systems, including operating systems, software applications, and hardware devices.
• Provide technical support for IT applications, infrastructure, operating systems, and end-user productivity tools.
• Support incident resolution, triage, business continuity activities, escalations, and coordination with technical support teams.
• Support local network equipment in a Cisco-based environment.
• Support local physical and virtual servers in Windows and Linux environments.
• Assist with managing assignments and workload.
• Support the integration and long-term maintenance of applications and hardware.
• Develop, maintain, and share accurate technical support documentation.
• Work flexible hours, including support for multi-shift operations and weekend production when necessary.
