Job summary

Milliken & Company’s Highland Plant in Cheraw, SC is offering a paid Manufacturing Intern position for the summer of 2027. The internship runs 11–12 weeks, full-time at 40 hours per week, and focuses on supporting key manufacturing priorities.

The intern will collaborate with cross-functional teams and develop foundational capabilities in problem solving, communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Candidates with a BS in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Exposure to continuous improvement tools, data analysis, and manufacturing operations (preferred).
• Prior internship, project, or relevant experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day activities and key projects within manufacturing.
• Conduct research, analysis, or data review to support business decisions.
• Assist in developing reports, presentations, or process documentation.
• Collaborate with team members and stakeholders across the organization.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement or efficiency gains.
• Present project findings, recommendations, or results.
