Job summary

RedGuard is offering a Summer Internship Program in Manufacturing from May 17, 2027 to August 6, 2027. Theintern will work closely with the Production Manager and Floor Supervisors, supporting the Manufacturing team on a range of tasks from time studies to SOP reviews.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented with an interest in manufacturing, construction, or project management, and possesses solid communication skills and teamwork abilities.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project.
• Team player with strong communication.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, eager to learn.
• Interest in Manufacturing, Construction, or Project Management.

Responsibilities

• Performs time studies to assess the duration and efficiency of various production tasks.
• Tracks and records downtime across departments, identifying causes and frequency for root cause analysis (RC/CA).
• Reviews existing work instructions for accuracy and updates; creates new documentation as needed.
• Assists in tracking and communicating daily and weekly performance metrics.
• Reviews and edits all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other shop floor standard work documentation.
• Supports lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
