Job summary

Interstates invites motivated students to join the manufacturing intern program for Summer 2026. You will support the Project Manager and department under direct supervision, contributing to project controls, scheduling, and coordination on industrial projects.

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in electrical engineering/technology or construction management.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to track, organize projects and prioritize work.
• Comfortable presenting to clients, peers, and managers.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager and jobsite leadership in managerial and leadership functions on the project.
• Run project control systems for the benefit of the project team.
• Create and update CPM schedules and communicate status.
• Support Last Planner/White Board crew scheduling and coordination.
• Handle RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and site communications.
• Analyze project controls information and aid in problem solving.
• Provide estimating take-offs and support for change orders.
• Attend client meetings onsite and coordinate with trade contractors.
• Prepare information for monthly project reviews and assist procurement.
• Promote safety culture daily.
