Job summary

Borusan Pipe USA is seeking a Manufacturing HSE Engineer to drive health, safety, and environmental systems across the Baytown site. You will work with Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering to identify hazards, implement controls, and improve HSE performance while supporting capital projects and startup activities.

The role requires five+ years of HSE experience in heavy manufacturing or similar environments, strong OSHA knowledge, and proven ability to lead investigations and collaborate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field relevant to HSE engineering.
• 5+ years in HSE/safety engineering in heavy manufacturing.
• Strong OSHA knowledge and standards application.
• Experience with hazard identification, risk assessment, and controls.
• Familiarity with machine safeguarding, LOTO, ergonomics, and electrical safety.
• Experience leading investigations and root-cause analysis.
• Experience with equipment modifications and capital projects from HSE perspective.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and continuously improve site HSE programs, procedures, and engineering controls.
• Serve as a technical HSE resource to Operations and leadership on regulatory requirements and risk.
• Lead risk assessments and develop corrective actions using hierarchy of controls.
• Evaluate machine guarding and partner with Engineering to implement controls.
• Own and improve LOTO program with procedures and inspections.
• Lead or facilitate injury and incident investigations with root-cause analysis.
• Participate in design reviews to embed HSE requirements before implementation.
• Support commissioning, startup reviews, and MOC activities as applicable.
• Develop and deliver HSE training and guidance for stakeholders.
• Support industrial hygiene and environmental compliance activities.
