Job summary

The Knorr manufacturing facility in Independence, MO is a unionized, 24/7 operation. The Associate Manager, HR Business Partner serves as the on-site HR contact for approximately 300 hourly team members and front line leaders, partnering with HR Operations and People Partner teams to deliver a positive employee experience and ensure fair, compliant application of the CBA.

Working with employee relations, performance management, onboarding, engagement and change initiatives, this role supports

Qualifications

• 5+ years in manufacturing HR or similar
• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field
• Experience conducting employee relations investigations and handling grievances
• Solid knowledge of employment law and ER practices
• Strong communication, judgement, and problem solving

Responsibilities

• Serve as first contact for employee relations questions and grievances
• Administer the CBA in a union environment
• Support union negotiations and implementation of agreements
• Coach hourly employees and front line leaders on performance and policy
• Guide supervisors on feedback and corrective actions compliant with employment laws
• Act as SME for HR policies and systems
• Assist with onboarding and recruitment for hourly hires
• Lead local HR projects from start to finish
