J&J Truck Bodies and Trailers is seeking an experienced HR Manager to lead day-to-day human resources functions and cultivate a positive workplace culture at our Somerset, NJ facility.

The role partners with leadership to ensure compliance, attract and retain talent, and develop programs aligned with operational goals. The HR Manager will maintain a hands-on presence across the manufacturing operation and support employees at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 3-5 years progressive HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
• Experience with employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and compliance.
• Strong communication, organization, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with employees from production floor through executive level.

Responsibilities

• Lead employee relations initiatives and investigations.
• Drive recruiting for production, skilled trades, administrative, and leadership roles.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state employment laws and company policies.
• Oversee performance management processes and corrective actions.
• Coordinate new employee onboarding and ongoing training programs.
• Maintain HRIS and confidential employee records; generate workforce reports.
• Provide HR support to leadership, supervisors, and employees.
