Horton, Inc. has an opening for a Human Resources Manager to work in our Britton, SD location. This role provides proactive HR leadership, partnering with plant leadership to support operations, safety, engagement, and retention.

The HR Manager administers programs following corporate policies and legal requirements, coaches leaders, and analyzes workforce data to drive practical improvements. A manufacturing setting familiar with local laws is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years HR experience, preferably in manufacturing environments.
• Experience in employee relations, investigations, performance management, and compliance.
• Strong communication, confidentiality, and data analysis skills.
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead HR partnership for the Britton facility, collaborating with plant leadership and corporate HR.
• Oversee talent acquisition, onboarding, and workforce planning for production needs.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs and manage leave administration.
• Coach managers on performance, feedback, and disciplinary actions.
• Support workplace safety programs and workers’ compensation coordination.
• Develop training, engagement, and development initiatives to improve culture.
